Cefn Druids 0-4 Aberystwyth Town: Ancients remain winless as Aber net four
Clinical finishing from Aberystwyth secure all three points at The Rock this evening.
Jonathan Evans and Marc Williams both scored on the stroke of half time, in what was a first half dominated by Cefn Druids chances.
Druids were positive throughout the whole of the first half, and perhaps found themselves undeservedly behind at the break.
The same Cefn Druids side didn’t come back out for the second half, as Aberystwyth controlled the game with ease.
Steff Davies extended the visitors’ lead in the 61st minute, before Jack Thorn came on and secured all three points with a 90th minute tap in, into an empty goal.
Two injuries in the match saw Joe Faux come off for Druids, and Jonathan Evans come off late in the second half.
Both teams came into this match on a fairly poor run of form, and Aberystwyth will be delighted to have come away with the victory.
Cefn Druids still remain winless in the JD Cymru Premier this season, and they find themselves at the bottom of the table with only one point.
Up next for both sides are away matches on Friday evening, Aberystwyth away at Bala Town, and Cefn Druids away at Caernarfon Town.
