Jayne Ludlow set for interview with West Ham – reports
Wales manager Jayne Ludlow is to hold talks with West Ham United this week, it has been revealed.
BBC Sport initially reported that Ludlow would be set for the role, however in an update to their initial report, they now say multiple managers will be interviewed for the vacancy.
The 41-year-old has been in charge of the Welsh national team for six years and oversaw the most recent EURO 2022 qualifying campaign, in which they finished third.
Ludlow would be making a return to the league, having previously been the director of women’s football and first-team manager of West Ham’s league rivals Reading.
She would be reunited with former Arsenal teammate Gilly Flaherty, should she take up the role.
The Hammers are currently 10th and were victorious yesterday, defeating Bristol City 4-0 at Twerton Park.
No official confirmation of Ludlow’s appointment has been provided yet by the Football Association of Wales or West Ham United.
