Connor Heath joins Colwyn Bay as many return to Seagulls
JD Cymru North promotion hopefuls Colwyn Bay have announced the addition of forward Connor Heath.
The Seagulls secured the services of the Nantwich Town attacker on a short-term deal with the Northern Premier League currently suspended due to the restrictions in England, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Heath was a previous target of the club, during his time at Crewe, however a move failed to materialise and he ended up joining the Dabbers following his release from Gresty Road.
The 20-year-old can operate as either a striker or as an attacking midfielder, complimenting a strong Bay attack.
Commenting on the arrival of his latest addition, manager Craig Hogg said: “We look forward to Connor joining up with the squad and we hope to be in a position to offer all our lads the opportunity of playing football in the weeks ahead.”
Heath will be joined at the Bay by Mitch Bryant, who has returned to Llanelian Road, following a spell in England.
Last season, he scored 14 times in 26 appearances in Colwyn’s first season back in Welsh football.
With a delayed start to the Welsh football season, Bryant signed for phoenix club Bury before moving to the City of Liverpool.
George Mannion has also made it a host of returns, following a spell in the North West Counties League with Ashton Athletic.
Alex Downes and Tom McCready have also returned with both playing for Runcorn Linnets this season.
A short-term agreement was also agreed with Runcorn that would allow defender James Short to join them.
