Charlton Athletic have made a deadline day move to sign experienced Welsh forward Emma Plewa.
The 30-year-old has moved from third-tier Crawley Wasps to the FA Women’s Championship.
Plewa has 20 senior caps for the Welsh national team and one goal, after making her debut against Finland in 2008.
Charlton are currently bottom of the division and have turned to Plewa to change their fortunes.

“It’s a great opportunity to come down and play with players of good standard and obviously try and up my game at the same time.
“I’d like to help the team get off the bottom of the table, there’s some absolute quality here, the girls are absolutely amazing so if I could play a part in that then I’d be extremely happy.
“The girls have been lovely, really, really welcoming and they made me welcome the minute I walked through the door so it’s been really easy to transition in.”
Plewa has played for a host of teams in England, including a three-year stint at perennial winners Chelsea.
She also had two spells at Bristol Academy, as well as brief stint at Lee Universiy in Tennessee.
Since returning to the United Kingdom, she’s featured for Millwall, Tottenham, Lewes and most recently Crawley.
