Caernarfon Town have signed goalkeeper Lewis Brass for the remainder of the season .

Brass has been brought to The Oval after Josh Tibbetts suffered an injury against Connah’s Quay on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old had been without a club since November after mutually agreeing to leave the Nomads.

Brass had been with the Deeside club since January 2019 and won both the Cymru Premier and the Nathaniel MG Cup last season.

Caernarfon have a goalkeeper who kept 20 clean sheets in all competitions and conceded just 28 goals.

Tweeting his pleasure on his move, Brass said: “I’m looking forward to being part of this huge club and qualifying for Europa Conference league where they belong!

“It is going to be extremely challenging because of past experience but I’m excited to build a connection with the fans! Also, a lot of people to prove wrong and to myself.”

Josh Tibbetts, who Brass will stand in for, added: “It’s good to have you onboard mate. I’m sure you will fit right in and help the lads get in to Europe.”

Ironically, Brass’ last game for the Nomads came against Caernarfon in November. Brass was sent off after an altercation between both sets of players.

His red card resulted in a two-match suspension in which he will serve, meaning he will be absent for the Canaries next two matches.

Brass could make his debut however against Penybont next Saturday, with Tyler French likely to void the gap over the next few matches.

The Gateshead-born shot stopper could make a return to the Deeside Stadium in the Canaries’ penultimate fixture of the season.
