Dan James appointed manager of Aberaeron

Aberaeron have a new man at the helm after they appointed Dan James as their new first-team manager.

James, who has been club captain of Ceredigion based side in recent years, will focus on his management role as a result of the appointment.

In a statement released by the club, it read: “Aberaeron would like to announce that Dan James has accepted the post of first-team manager.

“Dan, who has been club captain for the past few seasons will take a step back from playing to concentrate on management.

“His experience and knowledge of Mid Wales football will be invaluable in moving the club forward.”

He succeeds Alan Foligno, who stood down earlier this week.

Foligno had been credited with driving the club from the district league to the third tier.

“Aberaeron would like to thank Alan for all he has done for the club.

“We all wish him well for the future and hope to see him at Aberaeron games in the future.”
