Chris Davies appointed as manager of Llanidloes Town

Llanidloes Town FC announced that local lad Chris Davies will take charge as Manager. Davies returns to his former club after the departure of Hugh Clarke in April. Dave Jarman will carry on in an assistant manager role along with player/assistant manager Adam Worton.

Davies former manager at Carno FC where he earned a reputation as one of the best managers in tier three. He was also joint manager at Ardal North East Club Caersws. He will now return to his hometown as they prepare for the JD Cymru North season.

Speaking to County Times Davies Said,

“I’m proud and feel very honoured to have been given the opportunity to manage my hometown club and on a personal note to have to chance to take a step up to tier two. I’m relishing the opportunity and challenge ahead.”

A spokesman for Llanidloes welcomed Davies to club saying,

“The club is very pleased to announce the arrival of Chris to the first team management team.

“Chris comes in as the manager and previous manager Dave Jarman will carry on in an assistant role along side player assistant manager Adam Worton.

“With Chris being a local lad and gaining a lot of experience at Carno where he earned a reputation as one of the best managers in tier three, it brings us great joy to have him at the helm for our return to football in tier two.

“Chris is an ambitious young manager and his ambitions match the clubs.

“Everywhere he has been, he has left them in a better shape. We are all excited to start this new chapter and everyone wishes Chris good luck and we are sure the masses of Daffs fans will offer their best wishes and support too.”

The JD Cymru North season is due to start early on 24th July and the Nathaniel MG Cup due to start on 17th July.
