Connah’s Quay move for Kings Lynn forward Jordan Davies

Connah’s Quay have secured their second addition of the summer in the form of Kings Lynn striker Jordan Davies.

The former Seasiders striker is the second player to arrive at Deeside Stadium after the addition of Jamie Mullan from The New Saints.

The 25-year-old links up with the Nomads after previously being a part of their academy on a scholarship in 2015.

Davies had most recently been playing in the National League with Kings Lynn but spent the start of the 2020/21 season playing for AFC Telford United, where he scored one goal in 16 appearances.

Davies was the Cymru Alliance’s top scorer in 2017, helping Prestatyn Town to promotion. After their relegation, he returned for a second spell, scoring around 75 goals in three seasons around the Welsh top flight and the second tier.

Commenting on his latest signing, manager Andy Morrison said: “Jordan is someone who has been mentioned to me a few times over the last three tom four years and it just hasn’t worked, but he’s come in and he’s shown a great commitment and worked incredibly hard and pleasantly surprised me with his quality, his pace, his power and his football brain so I’m really, really pleased and excited to have him on board because we knew he was a good player but I think he’s going to bring a lot to the football club.”
