Penybont have begun their summer transfer business with the triple signing of trio James Waite, Josh Graham and Ryan Reynolds.

All three signings have put pen-to-paper on deals that will have them contracted to the club for the upcoming 2021/22 season.

Graham joins from Cymru Premier rivals Barry Town United, meanwhile Reynolds and Waite join having recently been on the released list of Cardiff City.

Waite, had most recently been on loan at League of Ireland outfit Waterford, making 12 appearances.

Prior to making the move to Ireland, he had two separate loan spells at Weston-super-Mare, making 27 appearances, scoring 12 goals.

He made one senior appearance for Cardiff, a 3-0 defeat to Luton Town in August 2019. The 22-year-old has three Wales under-21 caps to his name, as well as a single outing for the Under-19s.

Commenting on his move, Waite said: “I’m looking forward to getting started and hitting the ground running.”

Midfielder Ryan Reynolds also joins the Bont from the Bluebirds.

The 20-year-old, who was also part of Everton’s youth academy, had recently recovered from a long-term injury and now makes his first steps into senior football.

Completing their transfer business is Josh Graham, who moves across from Jenner Park to his new home of the SDM Glass Stadium.

Graham, who made seven appearances for Barry, all from the bench, netted a solitary goal for the Linnets, since joining in October 2020.

The 27-year-old reunites with his former strike partner Ben Ahmun. The pair forged a formidable partnership during their time at STM Sports, reaching the final of the Nathaniel MG Cup.

Rhys Griffiths’ side are due to return to pre-season in the coming weeks as they look to improve on their fourth-placed finish. They were losing Europa Conference League play-off semi-finalists.
