Cymru Premier fixtures confirmed for the 2021/22 season

Cymru Premier champions Connah’s Quay Nomads will begin their title defence with a trip to Cefn Druids, as the fixtures for the 2021-2022 season are announced.

Rivals The New Saints travel to Newtown on the opening weekend, while Bala Town host Penybont and Barry Town face Aberystwyth Town at Park Avenue. 

Play-off finalists Caernarfon Town begin their campaign as they welcome Haverfordwest County, while Cardiff Metropolitan University clash with Flint Town United. 

Wales’ top flight title in recent seasons has been a two-horse race between Connah’s Quay Nomads and The New Saints. 

The Cymru Premier’s top two will face each other on 9 October and 22 January. 

Local rivals Penybont and Barry Town clash on Boxing Day (26 December) and New Year’s Day (1 January), while Newtown and Aberystwyth Town lock horns on 17 September and 10 December.

Phase One will come to a close on 12 February, as Bala Town and Barry Town host Aberystwyth Town and Caernarfon Town respectively. 

The New Saints travel to the capital to face Cardiff Metropolitan University on the final day before the split, while champions the Nomads are welcomed by Newtown.
