Blaenrhondda AFC 0-4 Ynyshir Albions: Buns breeze past Blaen to progress
Ynyshir Albions eased their way into the next round of the Welsh Cup as they defeated Blaenrhondda 4-0 at Blaenrhondda Park.
Leon Anstee scored a first-half brace before substitutes Jamie Price and Steve Vaughan scored two quick goals in a routine win for the Buns.
Ynyshir’s side featured Dane Williams, who led Cambrian & Clydach Vale to the Nathaniel MG Cup final in 2019 with the 36-year-old hopeful of making a new Cup story.
The Buns await the draw on Monday to find out their Round Two opponents but renew their rivalry with Blaenrhondda in the FAW Trophy next week.
Blaenrhondda’s Huw Bowtell said: “Not the result we wanted but feels so good to be back playing competitive football again.”
