FC Prishtina 4-1 Connah’s Quay: Oto John double sinks Nomads hopes

Andy Morrisons men lost 4 -1 at the Fadil Vokrri stadium as they lose their Europa conference league second round qualifying first leg.

The first chance of the game went into the favour of Connahs Quay with a throw-in, in which Tom Moore had an effort from outside the box that went wide.

A chance from Krasniqi went begging as his shot went over the bar from inside the box.

Kris Owens fouled Kryeziu of the Kosovan champions to prevent a strong attacking opportunity for the Kosovo champions.

Following the collision with Owens, Kryeziu was subbed off and Oto John came on to replace the winger.

Callum Morris picked up a yellow following a clean challenge but referee thought otherwise and was booked got dissent.

The first goal came near the end of the first half when a corner was delivered, with Bekteshi rising high to head home for the hosts.

Insall received a yellow shortly after the goal as he dived in with a reckless challenge and was given a yellow for his actions.

Andy Morrison was booked following decisions from the game in which he believed was going against his side.

Hoti was booked for pushing a nomad’s player with his head in an attempt to win the ball. A chance for the nomads as Aeron Edwards had his half volley just over the bar.

John after a header delivered to him by Edwards, John was there on the right side to slot home bottom left corner.

Connah’s Quay had a chance of their own from a set-piece as Tom Moore had his header over the bar.

Edwards fouled the Pristina man as he fouled the player from behind with the referee getting a yellow for the Connah’s Quay midfielder.

Following the free kick, Calderbank-park saved it but the ball was nearly parried away to a Pristina player but was cleared well.

Andy Morrison’s men managed to catch the Kosovan champions off guard but a foul by Boshnjaku prevented the opportunity.

Tom Moore stepped up and his effort slotted on past the keeper as the Nomads pulled a goal back.

A Goal from Pristina as Krasniqi from a curling effort outside the box as Park could not manage to get a solid hand to the ball.

Morrison complains on the touchline as Aron Willams had a great chance as the substitute had his shot blocked off the line.

Nika the Pristina keeper tripped up but appeared to pull the shirt of
Williams, but the referee thought otherwise.

A late goal from John for his second of the game had a shot from close range, like his first as his goal was the last kick of the game.
