Conwy Borough and Gresford Athletic could not be separated as the two played to a goalless draw at Y Morfa Stadium.
Both teams created chances but couldn’t find the back of the net but neither could find the net in what was a close-fought encounter.
The game started with a good tempo and both teams looking to play their possession base football, a lot of the play was played in the middle of the pitch.
Gresford then had the majority of the play and started to build their play. The visitors came close through Nathan Williams when his free-kick hit the crossbar.
After half an hour the game settled down as the two tried sides tried to cancel each other out.
The best moment of the match came near towards the half-time whistle, striker Joe Chaplin hit the crossbar from a corner.
There was a decision for Nick Pratt to make and he didn’t pleas the home supporters. Conwy striker Corrig McGonigle collided in the box but he waved away the protests from the Tangerine players.
Halfway through the second half, the game opened up but no real chances.
Both teams both searched for a winner but neither looked likely to break the deadlock with chances coming at a premium.
In what was a nervy affair, both teams will be content with the draw given Conwy preserve their unbeaten start and Gresford get off the mark.
