Gemma Grainger is set to announce her squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches against Kazakhstan and Estonia in Group I.

With Swansea City and Cardiff Metropolitan University contesting the league last season will we see any Ardan Premier players in the next Wales squad?

We look at potential players from the Ardan Premier and elsewhere that could make the team.

Chloe Chivers

The Swansea City forward finished with nine goals last season as Swansea City won the league title being invincible in the process.

Chivers scored the only goal in their champions league qualifying campaign 4-1 loss against CSKA Moscow.

Chloe Chivers has featured for Wales in the past as she came on as a substitute against Kazakhstan in 2017 for the Qualifying round for the 2019 World Cup.

Chloe O’Connor

O’Connor is not in the top league in Welsh women’s football as she earned herself a move to Bristol City following a brilliant season for Cardiff Met last season.

She finished the top scorer last season with 14 goals as Cardiff Met missed out on the title to one of their biggest rivals.

Two caps in two friendlies in the early stages of Jayne Ludlow’s tenure, she has also featured for the under 17 sides for the European Championship first and second rounds of qualifying.

Phoebie Poole

Poole is set to be a star in Ardan Premier with the Cardiff City Women’s forward grabbing the Young Player of the Season award for her performances last season in the Welsh Premier women’s league.

She scored 13 goals last season; The 17-year-old has shown her worth already this season grabbing two goals in the win against Port Talbot Ladies.

If her performances continue for this season, we could see a move to the major leagues of Women’s football if her form continues.

Ellie Lake

The Swansea City defender has been at the club since 2017 as she featured against Olimpia Cluj in the Champions League Qualifying,

Lake has been part of a Swansea defence that has conceded two goals combined over the past two seasons with the club.

Ellie Lake has featured for Wales Women at Under 17 and Under 19 level for the international side featuring five times for the U17 side and nine times for the U19.
