Haverfordwest County have announced Belgian boss Nicky Hayen as their new first-team manager.
The 41-year-old has been given an 18-month contract and appointed will also take up the role of technical director which will entitle him to full say over transfers.
He succeeds Wayne Jones who departed the West Wales club two weeks ago after taking the club as far as he could.
The Bluebirds had a number of candidates interested in the role, especially from abroad but it is the man from Sint-Truiden who has come out on top.
The Belgian-born boss was most recently in charge of Waasland-Beveren in the Belgian Pro League, but left after they were relegated.
Hayen takes over a club that currently occupies the second relegation spot but they are just one point adrift of safety.

“We were just on the same page, the ambition and the things he wants to realise for the club fit with my ambition and the things I want, so I think it was a match from the first day, and I hope we can succeed in the coming months and in the future.”
Haverfordwest’s next game is set to take place on Aberystwyth Town on January 14. The game was rearranged having initially been scheduled for the festive period. Instead the season was put on hold as a result of the Welsh Government forcing games to be played behind closed doors.
A meeting will take place with government officials over the next week to decide whether any rules will be changed regarding spectators as Omicron continues to spread through the Welsh public.
