Llanelli Town have made the triple signing of Jake Thomas, James Murphy, and Ryan Bevan.

The trio are the first bit of transfer business that manager Lee John has conducted since he was appointed manager of the Reds.

Both Thomas and Bevan join from their Cymru South rivals Cambrian & Clydach Vale and Trefelin BGC respectively and all three had previously played for Swansea City.

Murphy was the most recent on the books Swans and joins his hometown club in a pursuit to get back into the professional game.

The 19-year-old, who plays on the right-wing, played for both Swansea’s U18s and U23’s sides before moving to Stebonheath Park.

“James is a very talented forward with bags of potential, said John on a social media post by the club.

“He’s also a local product from Llanelli who was very eager to sign and commit to his hometown club.

“We want players who want to wear the shirt with pride, James was clear in his determination to commit to the club and help us achieve our future ambitions.”

Standing at six foot two, centre-back Jake Thomas has made the move over from Cambrian and will be known to the Reds after playing in both matches against Llanelli this season.

The 20-year-old defender joined the Rhondda side from Swansea last summer and went on to make 15 appearances for the Sky Blues.

The third signing of the day announced by Llanelli was central midfielder Ryan Bevan, who moves from Trefelin.

The 20-year-old was another player released by Swansea in the summer.

Bevan joined Trefelin back in August and appeared 13 times for Richie Ryan’s side, scoring two goals.

As well as incomings, they have also allowed three players to leave for Cwmamman United.

Goalkeeper Kai Rees, midfielder Mikey Morgan and defender Travis James will all spend the remainder of the campaign in the Ardal Leagues.

“We look forward to monitoring their progress over the next few months,” said Lee John.

“It’ll be a great experience for all 3 players and only help them in their long-term development.

“Thanks to Ryan Thomas and Cwmamman United for providing the players with this opportunity.”
