Guilsfield have pulled off an impressive double deal for two members of The New Saints’ squad.

Currently third, Guilsfield are one of the teams vying for promotion to the Welsh top-flight and with the window shutting soon, they’ve made some additions to bolster their push.

The Guils have confirmed they’ve reached an agreement to sign midfielder Tom Holland and youngster Morgan Daykin.

Daykin was most recently an unused substitute in TNS’ win over Connah’s Quay. He later played in the 3-0 win over Colwyn Bay’s development side.

The 19-year-old has made three senior appearances for TNS this season and played the whole match in their Europa Conference League match with Glentoran.

“Everyone at The New Saints FC wishes Morgan all the best for the duration of his time with the Guils,” said a statement from TNS.

Holland has also made the move after falling out of favour of the Saint’s first-team, moving to the Cymru North side in terms of game time.

His last match for them came in October, playing just over an hour in their Welsh Cup win over Carmarthen Town.

The 24-year-old has made eight appearances for Antony Limbrick’s men but has been limited to just 161 minutes in the Cymru Premier.

Holland made 18 appearances last season after returning to the league following a short stint with League of Ireland side Waterford.

They both link up with TNS’ all-time record goal scorer Greg Draper who made the move to Clos Mytton in the summer after being released.

Both players are eligible to make their debut for Nathan Leonard’s side against Holywell Town at Halkyn Road tomorrow.
