Wales C manager Mark Jones has yielded some shock inclusions and exclusions after naming his 20-man squad to face England.

Cymru are to do battle with Paul Fairclough’s side at Caernarfon Town’s The Oval on March 30 in the third installment of the fixture.

11 out of the 12 teams in the Cymru Premier are represented with only the Cefn Druids, who are bottom of the league and without a win all season, without any representation.

Penybont with four call-ups are the best-represented side with Mael Davies, Kane Owen, Lewis Harling, and Nathan Wood making up almost a quarter of the team.

Danny Davies, Leo Smith, and former Wales Under-21 goalkeeper Connor Roberts, who all won league winners medals on the weekend, are the players from The New Saints.

With the match played in Caernarfon, fans of the Canaries will hope to see Dion Donohue and Darren Thomas appear after they were also included.

Aberystwyth Town, Flint Town United, Haverfordwest County, and Newtown all have one player with Lee Jenkins, Jake Phillips, Ben Fawcett, and Callum Roberts, named.

Out of the Wales side last to take to the pitch against the Three Lions, only Clayton Green, Emlyn Lewis, Aeron Edwards, Roberts, and Kayne McLaggon remain in a much-changed side with the former Port Talbot Town boss excluding some key names.

The most notable absentee is Bala Town’s Chris Venables, who for the past two seasons has been the Cymru Premier’s Golden Boot winner.

The 36-year-old was named in the last previous squads but has not been included this time, despite his six goals in 15 appearances.

Newtown’s Dave Jones and Cardiff Met’s Alex Lang, who have both conceded the least amount of goals for a Welsh goalkeeper have been snubbed.

Players such as David Edwards and Jazz Richards, who were part of Wales’ EURO 2016 campaign are not eligible having earned senior caps.

Cardiff Met manager Christian Edwards was already announced at Mark Jones’ assistant but there more names have been revealed.

Neil Ebrell, the goalkeeping coach for Connah’s Quay Nomads, is part of Mark Jones’ coaching staff, as is former Carmarthen Town manager Neil Smothers.
