Wales C 4-0 England C: Aeron Edwards and Will Evans net brace as Dragons romp over Three Lions

Wales C punished a sorry England C as they claimed a 4-0 victory in a scintillating display in front of a packed-out Oval.

Will Evans and Aeron Edwards both had braces before the 34th minute as Mark Jones masterminded the Red Dragons to a first win over the Three Lions.

The first chance of the half fell to England’s Callum Roberts who burst into the box, but his cross was blocked for a corner.

Wales then scored with their first effort when Will Evans picked up the ball down the left and fired the ball across goal into the bottom corner.

There was a penalty shout for England as Callum Roberts went down in the box, but nothing was given.

The hosts then made it two when Edwards capitalised on a defensive mistake and slotted the ball into the bottom left corner.

There was danger for Wales not long after as Ramsay was forced to tip a ball over the bar, the resulting corner was cleared easily.

The faultless first half then got even better for Wales as Harling pulled a ball back on the left-hand side right to Edwards who was free in the box to fire in.

Wales then continued their first-half form when Will Evans brought the ball down with ease in the box and curled a beauty into the top left corner. The goalie got fingertips tips on it but couldn’t keep it out as it went in off the post.

There was lots of good work from Mael Davies who was bright in the first half, he beat two defenders and crossed to Green whose header went wide.

England had the better start in the second half with some controlled possession but no real chances and a lack of composure as Little blasted over with an effort from outside the area.

The first chance of the second half for Wales fell to Mael Davies who was found by Will Evans from the left, his shot went wide.

Ramsay was forced into a couple of reaction saves as Michael Cheek tried his luck, once from range and the other from a tight angle, the first real save he had been forced into in the game.

England had large spells of possession in the second half but the Wales defence was very resilient and managed to restrict the three Lions to very few chances.

Wales saw the game out with little problems to secure a massive win against England.
