What is the 12-team Cymru Premier’s lowest-ever points total record?

Cefn Druids already hold the unwanted record for the lowest points tally in the Cymru Premier over 32 games but that could soon be overtaken.

The Ancients have endured a miserable 2021/22 Cymru Premier season but are they on course to record the lowest ever points total?

Andy Turner’s side will be playing in the Cymru North next season after winning just one game all season, losing their 27 other fixtures.

They are by far the worst team and are a whole 25 points adrift of nearest placed Barry Town United and have conceded 109 goals this season.

Their points tally of 16 from last season, is the second-worst to be recorded, beaten only by Afan Lido in the 2013/14 season.

Should they fail to beat Barry Town United at the Rock on April 23, in what is their last game of the season, then they would match the worst ever points tally recorded.

Cemaes Ynys Môn recorded just nine points in a 20-team Cymru Premier back in the 1997/1998 season.

That was matched in 2009/10 when Druids finished with nine points in an 18-team league, which was the last season before reverting to a 12-team division with a Championship and Play-Off Conference.

Druids’ relegation from the Cymru Premier also makes them the joint-most relegated club from the Welsh top flight, having suffered their third relegation.

*The 2020/21 season has not been included as that season was not played to a full conclusion and was instead decided on a points-per-game basis.
