Llanrhaeadr leading the pack in the Summer League

The second week of the Llandyrnog and District Summer League has seen all change at the top of the table after the next set of fixtures.

Elis Davies, Lewys Jones, Gwion Bibby and David Evans secured a 4-1 win for Cefn as they hosted Llandyrnog with Clawddnewydd‘s Jordan MacCarter the only difference in their home victory against Llanfair.

Last week’s leaders Henllan welcomed Llanrhaeadr and it was the visitors who took away a 3-0 win with Llyr Morris and a brace from Kevin Evans to take them top of the table on Monday evening.

A six goal thriller saw Trefnant win 4-2 at home to Caerwys whilst Nantglyn also climbed up the table with their 2-0 win v Rhewl. Llangynhafal scored their first points of the season in a 2-2 draw with Ysceifiog in the Monday night action.

Onto Thursday evening with plenty of goals around the grounds once more.

Neil Davies and Gruff Roberts scored a goal apiece in Henllan‘s 1-1 draw with Nantglyn which saw the visitors jump up to third in the table. Cefn and Clawddnewydd were away winners at Llanfair and Caerwys respectively in their 0-3 and 2-4 wins.

An Alex Ballard hatrick took the points for Trefnant who were away at Rhewl whilst Llangynhafal‘s Danw Diss securing a win for the visitors at Llandyrnog.

Ynyr Jones, Meilir Williams and Osian Audley’s goals meant that Llanrhaeadr were 3-0 winners against Ysceifiog meaning that there were new league leaders following the second week of play in the competition.

May 3rd (7.00pm): Caerwys v Llandyrnog, Clawddnewydd v Henllan, Llangynhafal v Rhewl, Nantglyn v Llanrhaeadr, Trefnant v Cefn, Ysceifiog v Llanfair.

May 5th (7.00pm): Cefn v Caerwys, Clawddnewydd v Trefnant, Llandyrnog v Ysceifiog, Llanfair v Llanrhaeadr, Nantglyn v Llangynhafal, Rhewl v Henllan.
