Haverfordwest County have been busy by recruiting no fewer than four players, a spate of new contracts, and plenty of departures.

The Bluebirds have signed Ioan Evans, Lewis Brass, Jamie Veale, and Rhys Abbruzzese after allowing a number of members of their first-team squad to leave.

Evans, a left-back by trade joins from recently relegated Cefn Druids after spells with Newport County, Swansea City, Carmarthen Town, and Pontardawe Town.

The 19-year-old made 13 appearances for the Ancients last year and scored twice for the league’s basement side.

Their second addition Brass joins a one-year contract and is recruited in an area that has seen their first and second choice goalkeepers Lee Idzi and Wojciech Gajda depart.

The 25-year-old won the Cymru Premier in 2020 with the Connah’s Quay Nomads and was also at Caernarfon Town and Bangor City.

Recruiting another player from the division, Jamie Veale, who makes the move across the league from Aberystwyth Town.

Veale is another who has been handed a one-year deal and has been in the league for the last two years, making 56 appearances and netting five goals.

Topping off their business is defender Rhys Abbruzzese, joining from the recently relegated Barry Town United.

The 24-year-old has been given a two-year deal, offering him security amongst a number of his teammates

He featured in 23 of Barry’s matches this season and made appearances for the Wales under-17 and under-21 teams.

Captain Ricky Watts, Zac Jones, Ryan George, Corey Shephard, and Dylan Rees meanwhile extended their stays by a year.

Iori Humphreys and Josh Legrice also signed one-year deals whilst Lucas Davies and Dan James signed their first professional contracts.

As well as new signings and contracts, there were a few key departures.

Kieran Lewis and Danny Williams both departed for Pontypridd Town, whilst Alaric Jones rejected an improved contract offer.

As mentioned, Gajda and Idzi left, as did Alex Worley, Mason Jones-Thomas, and, Alhagi Touray Sisay
