Flint Town United and first-team manager Neil Gibson have both agreed to mutually part ways.
The 42-year-old is leaving his post at the Essity Stadium after 18 months with his last involvement being a play-off final defeat to Caernarfon Town.
Gibson succeeded Niall McGuinness back in December 2020 and they finished 11th, but they were spared relegation.
In a statement, he wrote: “I would like to place on record my thanks to Darryl Williams and the rest of the board for the opportunity to manage their football club.
“I have thrown myself into the job wholeheartedly and given everything to bring success to Flint Town and its supporters, building some excellent foundations.
“I’m extremely proud of the 18-month journey we have been on and the memorable moments we have been able to create.
“I’d like to thank everyone that helped support me during my tenure, from the exceptional volunteers behind the scenes, board members, supporters, amazing group of staff, and fantastic players who have been a joy to work with.”
In response, the club said: “Flint wish to thank Gibbo for his unwavering commitment to the club during his 18-month tenure. He has immersed himself in all aspects of the football club from academy to the first team, working tirelessly to improve the fortunes of the Silkmen.”
The Silkmen have already seen a number of high-profile players leave such as Kai Edwards to Holywell Town and Sam Hart to Colwyn Bay.
Jack Kenny has also left for the English non-leagues whilst Ben Nash has joined Connah’s Quay and Alex Jones has dropped down to the Ardal Leagues with Rhyl.
The club are also going through a ground development phase with their grass pitch being resurfaced into a 3G.
