As-it-happened: Colwyn Bay 4-0 Mold Alexandra – Cymru North
Bay go top of the table with a comfortable victory against Mold Alexandra
Captain Tom McCready opened the scoring with a pinpoint left footed finish.
Kristian Platt added a second with a header at the far post from a corner.
McCready struck again just after half time with another fine left footed finish.
Kirby added a fourth from close range.

Colwyn Bay’s first real effort of the match came down the right as Alex Downes turned his man well and drove a shot straight at the goalkeeper from just inside the Mold box.
In the 19th minute, the Bay went ahead when a corner was recycled out to taker McCready down the right, he faked to cross and cut inside on his left foot before firing a low shot into the bottom corner.
There was a blow for the Seagulls not long after with in form Downes having to leave the field with an injury.
Platt saw his back post header fly just wide after 27 minutes from a great ball by captain McCready.
Mold had a chance right at the end of the half to bring themselves level when Ozlu won a free kick in a great area on the edge of the Bay box, Freeman stepped up to hit it but it flew over the wall and wide of the mark.
Only a couple of minutes into the second half and they Bay doubled their lead. Sam Hart drove from his centre back position all the way to the edge of the Mold box, he played a slick one two with McCready, got his cross away which saw the defender knock it for a corner, McCready whipped the corner to the back post where Platt met it, heading powerfully into the net.
Only a minute later and the Seagulls made it three when McCready turned sharply a few yards from the edge of the box and curled a left footed shot into the far corner.
Allshorn forced a good save from goalie Quinllan on 60 minutes with a powerful shot assisted by Edwards down the left.
There was half a chance for the visitors a short while after when Tinsley latched onto a loose ball and tried to play it through to the on-rushing attacker, but Joe Williams covered well and cleared the danger.
The combination of Edwards and Allshorn worked yet again after 73 minutes when Allshorn’s powerful cross towards was spilled by the goalie allowing Kirby to bundle it in to make it four.
With less than ten to play there was a good chance for Kirby who was played in by Creamer down the right, he composed himself and hit a good shot forcing yet another good save from the keeper, the ball then bounced out kindly to Creamer who hit a shot straight at the keeper.
It was Woods’ turn to make a good save a minute later when Tinsley found space in the box and hit a low shot with Woods getting down quickly to deny Mold.
Into the last five minutes and there was another chance for Kirby when Cai Owen played a great through ball behind the defence towards Kirby, but his touch took him wide, and the shooting chance was gone.
