As-it-happened: Bala Town 3-0 Aberystwyth Town

Bala Town claimed a comfortable 3-0 win over Aberystwyth Town at Maes Tegid with Chris Venables and Nathan Peate on target.

Aber have now suffered five consecutive defeats on their travels in the Cymru Premier whilst Bala have lost just once in six on home soil.

Chris Venables put the home side in front with a header into the bottom corner. Bala doubled their lead before half time, with Nathan Peate heading into the cross bar from a corner, which eventually crossed the line to give Bala a two goal advantage.

Aberystwyth Town never got into the game, and were punished for it. After good work from George Newell, a ball across goal was tapped into his own net by David Evans, in what would be the deciding goal at Maes Tegid.
