Five-star Barry Town hit the Bullseye as Swansea University hammered

Josh Bull came off the bench to score and set up one on his debut as Barry hammered Swansea Uni 5-0. After a goal less first half which Barry dominated Lee Kendall’s side hit five second half goals.

Josh Graham got the first goal after 52 minutes before Curtis McDonald double the lead two minutes later. Josh Bull got Barry’s third on 71 minutes five minutes after coming on. Callum Sainty made it four on 79 minutes before Bull set up Kayne McLaggon for a fifth after 81 minutes.

Barry go four points clear of second place Briton Ferry with two games in hand. Swansea Uni are down to 14th place just two points above the drop zone.


Barry had the games first chance when Rhys Davies pushing forward down the left found Liam Warman in the box. Warman put his shot over the bar.

Barry were controlling the game and creating chances. Evan Press tied to curl an effort in but Swansea keeper Luke Martin was able to save diving across goal.

the home side continued to pressure with McLaggon seeing his shot blocked before Warman see his deflected for a corner. Jordan Cotterill put the ball across goal but Martin punched away. the ball was swung back in but Cotterill headed wide.

Swansea had a chance soon after as the ball came to John Roberts in the box. He hit a low shot at goal but its was a comfortable save for Mike Lewis.

Kayne McLaggon should have put Barry ahead but his shot from close range was mishit and went wide. Soon after McLaggon sliding effort at the far post went wide.

Despite all of Barry’s pressure the side went into half time level.

Barry started the second period well with Cotterill putting an early chance wide. Just after and McLaggon went down in the box, calls for a penalty were ignored by the ref.

The pressure told and soon Barry were in front. Michael George with the cross into the box which fell to Graham who smashed the ball into the net.

Two minutes later and Barry extended the lead. Jordan Cotterill taking a shot at goal which Curtis McDonald turned pat the keeper.

Swansea Uni tried to get back into the game and George Sellick forced a fingertip save from Barry keeper Mike Lewis.

Lee Kendall brought on new signing Josh Bull and he must of thought that it was a dream debut as he was played in on goal. bull put the ball past the keeper but the ref had already blown for a foul.

Bull wouldn’t have to wait long however as he rose at the far post to head in from Kayne McLaggon’s cross. McLaggon putting the ball in a perfect place for Bull to head home.

Barry continued to dominate and Liam Warman set up Callum Sainty inside the box. Sainty hammered the ball past martin into the top corner.

Josh Bull turned provider as he set up McLaggon for Barry’s fifth. Getting into the box on the right Bull put the ball across the goal for McLaggon who finished from close range at the back post.
