Barry Town United take on Cardiff Met Women in the Adran Premier down at Jenner Park on Sunday afternoon.

With both sides still fighting for their final places in phase one, they will know a win on Sunday could define their seasons.

This is Barry’s first game after the Christmas break, but they have been on a poor run of form. Since beating Aberystwyth at the end of October, they’ve only picked up one point from a possible 15, and that was at home against bottom-of-the-table Abergavenny. Sean Wharton will be hoping his Linnets side can get a win to boost their outside chance of finishing in the top four.

With a game in hand on the sides above them in the table, a win for the Archers on Sunday could really make it a three-horse race for the title. Since their incredibly disappointing 5-0 defeat at home to Cardiff City, Met have won two on the bounce in the league. Having reached two semi-finals since they played their last league match, Yzzy Taylor will be hoping her side can keep the good times coming.

These two met in mid-October, with Met running out 3-1 winners that day. Two Erin Murray goals and one for Evie Griffiths sealed a comfortable win for the home side that day, and unfortunately for Barry a Mackenzie Olden goal wasn’t enough. Who will come out on top this time?
