As-it-happened: Cardiff Met 4-0 Aberystwyth Town – Adran Premier

Cardiff Met host Aberystwyth Town at Cyncoed Campus in their penultimate game of Phase One in the Adran Premier under the floodlights on Wednesday night.

Aberystwyth can still qualify for the top four like they did last season but trail The New Saints by four points and eight goals. Cardiff Met meanwhile are still in the hunt for the title but trail leaders Cardiff City by 10 points, though the Bluebirds do have a game in hand.

The Archers beat Barry Town convincingly last Sunday with Emily Allen scoring four goals as well as a two-goals and an assist for Ellie Preece. Yzzy Taylor’s side have been on a five-game winning run across all competitions and their last defeat was against Cardiff on November 23.

The two sides last met at the start of October when the Met beat Aberystwyth 4-0 at Park Avenue. Emily Allen scored a brace whilst Shannon Evans and Stephanie Turner were also on target.
