Former Liverpool youth midfielder transfers back to Bala Town

Bala Town have bolstered their ranks ahead of the Nathaniel MG Cup Final on Saturday with the return of midfielder Nathan Burke to Maes Tegid.

Burke left the Lakesiders back in the summer of 2019 after a spell of four and a half years where he notched 140 club appearances, as well as six Europa League, starts plus a JD Welsh Cup win to his name.

Following his departure from Bala, the 27-year-old switched to FC United of Manchester for a short spell before putting pen to paper at the City of Liverpool where he has made his mark as captain of the side.

He tweeted: “Delighted to be back! @BalaTownFC looking forward to seeing familiar faces and cheering the lads on tomorrow in the final.”

In addition to Kieron Molloy who joined from Stretford Paddock earlier in the window, the Lakesiders have also secured the loan signing of Adam Roscrow from The New Saints for the remainder of the season. Roscrow has already spent the majority of the season at Bala scoring seven times in 14 appearances in all competitions.
