Pontypridd United take on Barry Town United in the Adran Premier down at the USW Sport Park.

Simply, Pontypridd need all three points if they are to gain a place in the Championship phase, and they will need other results to go their way. The loss to TNS at the beginning of January has put them behind the Saints, but a win for them here will put the pressure on the North Walian side. Since returning after the Christmas break, the Dragons have lost both games in the league, their last one being a 2-0 defeat at home to Swansea City.

Barry have confirmed their place in the Plate phase of the league after last week’s heavy home defeat against Cardiff Met. Sean Wharton’s side have not been on a good run of form, only picking up one point from the last 18 available to them. They will be hoping a victory will put them in good stead going into the second part of the season.

The last time these two met in the league, Ponty came away with a 3-0 win. Goals for Alison Witts, Liv Francis and Renee Day sealed all three points for Ponty that time. They also beat the Linnets 5-0 in the FAW Cup, so Barry will be hoping they can get revenge on Sunday.
