Cardiff Met take on Swansea City in the Adran Premier on Sunday at Cyncoed.

With Cardiff City in the driving seat to win the league, both sides know a win is paramount in order to keep themselves in touching distance of the Bluebirds.

The Archers come into this one in third place and ten points behind Cardiff City, meaning they are in win or bust mode for the rest of the season. Having been on a five game unbeaten run in the league, their streak came to an abrupt end last week as they were defeated 2-0 away from home by TNS. Forward Elianna Chavez also left Met this week to join Cardiff City Ladies, how will they bounce back this weekend?

Swansea are seven points behind the Bluebirds, and a win for them will keep the possibility of them retaining their title alive. Draw or lose Cyncoed, and Cardiff City could wrap up the league title in two weeks’ time. Swansea haven’t lost in the league since the end of September, but draws have been their weakness, and that’s what they got last week against City, thanks to a 97th minute equaliser from Phoebie Poole.

These sides have met three times already this season, twice in the league and once in the cup. Swansea won the first league meeting 2-0, before the shares were spoiled at Cyncoed in November. Met did win a cup tie between the two, meaning the result could really go either way on Sunday.
