Haverfordwest rescued a point at Jenner Park with two late goals to earn a draw against Barry. After a late equaliser in their last match The Bluebirds did it again as they came from two behind.

Barry made a good start and took the lead though Ollie Hubert in the 14th minute. Right before half time Evan Press doubled Barry’s lead. Both sides had goals ruled out for offside in an exciting first half. The second half saw a slower pace as Barry looked to consolidate their lead. County struggled to break Barry down until the 90th minute when Ricky Watts pulled a goal back. Haverfordwest kept going and found a second six minutes into added time, Watts again in the right place.

Barry now sit in eighth spot with Haverfordwest in ninth, both teams with three points and still looking for their first wins.

The first chance of the game fell to Evan Press as he headed over from a cross swung in from Chris Hugh.

Oscar Borg sent a long though ball that found Ben Fawcett’s run. Fawcett with the chance to give his side the lead but Mike Lewis made a good save.

As the teams went back and fourth Jordan Cotterill picked up the ball from a Zac Jones kick. Cotterill flicked the ball around defender before shooting but his effort was straight at Jones.

Barry then took the lead with a quality ball from Jamie Veale that found Ollie Hubert. Hubert controlled the ball then put it past Jones from close range.

Just as the half was coming to an end Barry extended their lead. Chris Hugh putting a free kick into the six yard where Evan Press got in front Luke Tabone to head in.

Half Time: Barry Town 2-0 Haverfordwest

Chris Hugh went close when Curtis McDonald set him up to shoot from the edge of the box. Hugh hit a low shot just wide of the post.

Barry went looking for a third and Ollie Hubert was denied by Zac Jones. Hubert with a good run that saw him cut across the box was stopped from scoring as Jones pushed the ball away from his effort.

With time running down Haverfordwest tried to get back into the game. Tyrese Owen putting a good ball across goal but no one could met it.

Kai Whitmore made a good run into the box from the left and hit a shot at goal. Mike Lewis made the save but the loose ball fell to Rick Watts who turned it in at the back post. Haverfordwest back in it with added time to play.

The Bluebirds left it right till the end however to get the leveller. Again a ball in from the left, Lewis failed to claim the ball and it bounced off Hugh falling to Watts who smashed it home from close range. An stunning late comeback to give the visitors a valuable point on the road.
