The New Saints striker Brad Young is attracting interest from three professional divisions according to reports.

Football Insider claims that teams in the Bundesliga, EFL Championship, and the Scottish Premiership are all ‘tracking’ the forward. Augsburg, Hearts, and Rotherham are all said to be making regular checks on the 21-year-old.

The 21-year-old has netted 20 times in 25 games this season and has also notched up two assists. He left Aston Villa in the summer and had a trial period at Exeter City last summer, but a move to St James’ Park failed to materialise.

In an interview with YCPD back in September, he commented about his release from Villa and his trial with Exeter: he said: “I knew about being released, three months before the end of the season.

“It was difficult but everything happens for a reason, that’s what I believe in. “It was the right move to get me into the real world instead of relying on Villa.

“My head wasn’t in it. After a day or two, I was thinking even if I got the offer, I didn’t think I’d accept it. It wasn’t the move for me.”

Young was a part of the Villa side that played against Liverpool in the FA Cup. He came through the ranks at Villa alongside Aaron Ramsey, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Kane Kesler-Hayden.

His 16 goals in the Cymru Premier this season has him as the second-joint highest scorer and is just one behind Connah’s Quay forward Jordan Davies. Davies himself has a pre-contract agreement with Scottish Championship outfit Greenock Morton.
