Caernarfon Town have made a major statement in the transfer market, completing the eye-catching signing of striker Brad Young as they close out 2025 in style.

The 22-year-old forward arrives at the Oval with an impressive CV, bringing experience from the Premier League academy system, the Cymru Premier, and spells in the Middle East.

Aston Villa Prospect to Cymru Premier Star

Brad Young began his career in the Aston Villa academy, where he developed his reputation as a clinical and intelligent striker. After leaving Villa, he moved to The New Saints (TNS), where his career truly took off.

During the 2023/24 Cymru Premier season, Young was one of the league’s standout performers. His prolific form in front of goal earned him both the Young Player of the Season award and the Golden Boot, firmly establishing him as one of the most exciting attacking talents in Welsh football.

Record-Breaking Move to Saudi Arabia

Young’s performances did not go unnoticed. In 2024, he secured a high-profile transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al-Orobah, in a deal that became the highest transfer fee ever received by a Cymru Premier club.

While in Saudi Arabia, Young made an immediate impact, scoring two goals for Al-Orobah. However, the move was later overshadowed by controversy after it emerged that TNS had not received their transfer fee, leading FIFA to impose a transfer ban on the club.

Continued Journey in the Middle East

Following his time in Saudi Arabia, Young moved to the UAE Pro League, signing for Baniyas in the summer. The experience added another chapter to his rapidly developing career and further enhanced his exposure to football at an international level.
