EA FC 27 player ratings: Huge boosts for Welsh Premier League players as Leeds United and Nottingham Forest stars lead the way

The new EA FC 27 player ratings are out, and there is plenty for Welsh football fans to get excited about when it comes to Premier League players.
EA Sports has now published the ratings for more than 21,000 players in the latest edition of the game, with several Wales internationals receiving significant upgrades ahead of the new campaign.
Among the players listed, Harry Wilson is now Wales’ highest-rated male player at 81, while Ethan Ampadu and Neco Williams have both climbed to 80. Joe Rodon is also up to 77, while Karl Darlow has enjoyed one of the biggest jumps of all.
The changes make for interesting reading, particularly when compared with the EA FC 26 ratings.
Harry Wilson gets biggest EA FC 27 ratings boost
The biggest winner from the Welsh contingent is Harry Wilson, who has jumped five points to 81.
That is a huge upgrade and makes the Fulham star the highest-rated male Welsh player among the group.
Wilson’s rise comes after an excellent spell of form at club and international level. His EA FC 27 rating now reflects his status as one of Wales’ most important attacking players.
The 81 rating also puts Wilson firmly into the upper tier of players available to use in EA FC 27.
Neco Williams and Ethan Ampadu reach 80
Two more Welsh stars have reached the 80 mark.
Neco Williams has risen from 78 to 80, while Ethan Ampadu has made an even bigger leap from 76 to 80.
For Ampadu, that represents a four-point increase and one of the biggest upgrades among the players considered here.
Williams’ rise is also significant, particularly given his continued development as a Premier League full-back. EA currently lists him at 80 overall.
The pair now sit just one point behind Wilson in the Welsh rankings.
Premier League players dominate Welsh EA FC 27 ratings
There is a clear Premier League theme running through the top end of these ratings.
Wilson, Williams, Ampadu, Rodon and several of the other players have established themselves as important figures either in the Premier League or within Wales’ senior setup.
That makes the changes particularly interesting ahead of the new game.
Joe Rodon has gone from 76 to 77, while David Brooks has moved from 75 to 76.
Rodon’s one-point increase keeps him among Wales’ highest-rated defenders, while Brooks’ upgrade gives him a deserved boost after his recent performances.
Karl Darlow and Jay Dasilva among biggest risers
There are also sizeable improvements further down the list.
Karl Darlow has climbed four points from 72 to 76, putting him level with Brooks.
Meanwhile, Jay Dasilva has gone from 69 to 73, another four-point increase.
There is another notable rise for Kai Andrews, who has jumped two points from 60 to 62 in the EA FC 27 ratings.
The young Welsh midfielder spent part of the campaign on loan with Scottish Premiership side Hibernian, gaining valuable first-team experience and valuable exposure to senior football.
That spell provides useful context for his latest rating, with Andrews rewarded for his development with a two-point upgrade.
A move from 60 to 62 still leaves him some way off Wales’ highest-rated stars, but it represents an encouraging step forward for a player continuing to make his mark at senior level.
Brennan Johnson and Dan James suffer EA FC 27 downgrades
It is not all good news for the Welsh contingent. Brennan Johnson has dropped from 79 to 78, while Dan James has fallen from 76 to 75.
Johnson remains one of the highest-rated Welsh players despite the downgrade, while James’ pace should still make him an attractive option for EA FC players.
There is also a small setback for Ben Davies, with the experienced Wales defender seeing his EA FC 27 rating drop by one point to 74.
Davies missed a large part of the campaign due to injury, which likely played a role in the downgrade from 75 to 74.
However, the Tottenham Hotspur defender has recently committed his future to the club, signing a new one-year contract with Spurs. That means the 33-year-old will remain in north London for another season as he looks to regain full fitness and continue his long association with the club.
The one-point drop is hardly a dramatic fall, and Davies remains an experienced and dependable option in EA FC 27. With a fresh year at Tottenham ahead of him, there is also an opportunity to prove that his rating can move back in the other direction next time around.
Which Welsh players stayed the same?
Three players on the list have seen no change at all. Lewis Koumas stays on 69, whilst Tom King is also unchanged on 64.
For Koumas in particular, the unchanged rating leaves plenty of room for growth in future editions of the game as the young forward continues his development. He made his first Premier League appearance in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Newcastle United.
