Cymru North attendances revealed as Bangor City pull clear of rivals with huge crowds

As the Cymru North season approaches the 10-game mark, the attendance figures are beginning to show which clubs are drawing the biggest crowds.
Most teams have now played four or five home matches, giving us a useful early snapshot of support across the second tier of Welsh football.
We recently looked at attendances in the Cymru Premier – but how does the picture look one division below?
There is a clear leader so far, with Bangor City comfortably ahead of the rest of the division.
Bangor City are way out in front
Bangor City have recorded an average attendance of 822, putting them at the top of the Cymru North attendance table by a considerable margin.
Their figure is more than double that of the next-highest club, highlighting the level of support behind the north Wales side.
Mold Alexandra are second with 443, closely followed by Holyhead Hotspur on 445.
Denbigh Town are also above the 400 mark, with 424, while Porthmadog have attracted an average crowd of 418.
The figures underline the strength of support at several of the division’s better-known clubs, with four teams outside Bangor recording crowds of more than 400.

The table shows a sizeable spread across the division.
At the top end, Bangor are attracting more than 700 additional supporters per game compared with Guilsfield, who currently sit at the bottom of the table with an average attendance of 114.
Nine clubs are averaging more than 300
There is a notable group of clubs sitting between the division’s two extremes.
Rhyl are currently averaging 368, just ahead of Ruthin Town on 364 and Bala Town on 359.
Newtown are the final club above the 300 mark, with an average attendance of 319.
That means seven clubs have so far recorded average crowds of at least 300.
Further down the table, Buckley Town are averaging 218, while Gresford Athletic stand at 182.
Brickfield Rangers are on 171, followed by Caersws at 166 and Penrhyncoch at 157.
The figures will change as the season goes on
These numbers are still an early snapshot rather than a final picture of attendances across the Cymru North.
With most clubs having played only four or five home matches, individual fixtures can have a significant impact on an average.
Big local derbies, particularly attractive opponents and important games later in the season, could all alter the numbers.
The promotion race may also have an effect, with attendances potentially increasing as the season reaches its decisive stages.
For now, though, the early numbers provide an interesting indication of where the biggest crowds are being found across the Cymru North, and Bangor City’s lead is particularly striking.
