The 2026/27 Cymru Premier season is already proving to be a productive one for several players, with a number of familiar names and emerging talents producing the best attacking returns of their careers.

Goals and assists have been spread across the Welsh top flight, highlighting the individuals making a significant difference for their respective sides.

From established forwards continuing to find the net with remarkable consistency to younger midfielders taking on greater attacking responsibility, the campaign has seen several players raise their game to another level.

Some have carried their goalscoring form into the top flight after impressing in the Cymru North, while others are enjoying a breakthrough season after previously struggling to make the same impact.

Among the standout performers are two forwards who have already reached double figures for league goals, a young midfielder making his mark at The New Saints and a summer signing who has quickly settled into life at Barry Town United. There is also a defender at Cardiff Met who is demonstrating that his influence extends well beyond his primary responsibilities at the back.

With the season continuing to develop, these five players have emerged as some of the most productive attacking performers in the Cymru Premier so far, each offering a different story of progress, consistency and growing influence.

George Peers has made an outstanding start to the season, emerging as a major attacking threat for Airbus after establishing himself as one of the most consistent goalscorers in the Cymru North in recent years.

The 26-year-old has scored 12 goals in 13 league appearances, while also registering an assist. His tally already represents a significant return at Cymru Premier level, having previously scored three goals in 12 appearances for Airbus during the 2019/20 campaign.

Peers has also demonstrated his ability to produce devastating performances in front of goal, recording two hat-tricks this season against Flint Town United and Llandudno.

His recent form builds on an impressive record in the Cymru North over the previous three seasons, during which he scored 54 goals in 79 appearances.

Now amongst the top goal scorers in the Cymru premier , Peers has become a crucial source of goals for Airbus.

Zack Clarke matching his best scoring season after making his mark with Caernarfon in the past

Zack Clarke is enjoying one of the most productive spells of his career, with the forward continuing to deliver goals after establishing himself as a major attacking threat in the Welsh game.

Clarke has scored 12 goals in 13 league appearances this season, while also providing three assists. His performances have seen him match his previous best return. However he has beaten his best return in a regular season within the Welsh top flight.

That previous benchmark came during the 2023/24 campaign with Caernarfon Town, when he scored 11 league goals before adding another in the play-offs as the club secured European qualification.

His latest run of form has seen him score in nine of his side’s 13 league matches, underlining his consistency in front of goal. He has also demonstrated his ability to take over a game, recording a hat-trick against Holywell Town.

His goalscoring and creative contributions could prove vital as his side looks to build on its performances this season.

Josh Lock has taken another significant step forward this season, with the midfielder producing some of the best goalscoring numbers of his career for The New Saints.

The 22-year-old has scored seven goals in 12 league appearances and added two assists, making him an increasingly influential figure in his side’s attacking play.

His current return represents a notable improvement on his previous best Cymru Premier scoring campaign, when he scored three goals in five appearances for Caernarfon Town during the 2024/25 season before an injury disrupted his progress.

Lock had already shown his quality during spells with Denbigh Town and Cefn Druids, but his latest performances suggest he is becoming an increasingly important player at the highest level of Welsh domestic football.

He has also demonstrated an eye for goal in important moments, scoring doubles against Colwyn Bay and Flint Town United.

With seven goals already to his name, Lock has surpassed his previous best league return in the Cymru Premier. At just 22, his continued development will be encouraging for The New Saints, particularly if he can maintain this level of attacking output throughout the campaign.

Elliott Dugan finding his feet at Barry Town United after summer move

Elliott Dugan has made an immediate impact at Barry Town United, with the forward enjoying a productive start following his return to Welsh football this summer.

Previously associated with Haverfordwest County and Connah’s Quay Nomads, Dugan had scored just twice for the two clubs across his previous two Cymru Premier campaigns. His latest performances, however, suggest he is beginning to find his feet in front of goal.

The forward has scored six goals in ten league appearances for Barry, including an impressive hat-trick against Briton Ferry.

He has also found the net against Holywell Town, Flint Town United and Llandudno, demonstrating his ability to contribute against a range of opposition.

Dugan’s early-season form represents a significant change from his previous returns at this level. His six goals have already given Barry a valuable attacking contribution, while his hat-trick highlighted the threat he can pose when given opportunities in the final third.

After making the move back to Wales, the forward appears to have settled quickly into his new surroundings. If he continues at his current rate, he could record the most productive Cymru Premier campaign of his career.

While the other players have made headlines with their goalscoring, Jack Veale has emerged as one of Cardiff Met’s most effective contributors in attack while also being a defender.

The former Exeter City defender has enjoyed an impressive return to the Archers, contributing four goals and four assists in the Cymru Premier this season.

His eight direct goal contributions represent a major improvement on his previous record at the club. Before this campaign, Veale had scored just twice for Cardiff Met, finding the net once in both the 2022/23 and 2024/25 seasons.

This season has brought a different level of attacking influence, with the defender scoring twice against Briton Ferry and registering two assists against Ammanford.

Veale’s ability to contribute both in goals and assists has added another dimension to Cardiff Met’s attacking play. His performances also highlight how players in defensive positions can have a significant influence on a team’s output at the opposite end of the pitch.

Since returning to Cardiff Met this summer, he has become a productive contributor in the final third, with his current numbers representing a career-best return for direct goal contributions in the Cymru Premier.

If Veale can maintain his current form, his attacking impact could prove increasingly important for the Archers as the season progresses.
