Cwmbran Celtic have announced the signings of Aysa Al-Doori, Will Higgs and Urio Hijambazapo as they look to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the season.

The Ardal South East outfit have added three new faces to their ranks, with the trio bringing experience, attacking quality and potential as Celtic look to climb the league table.

Al-Doori arrives from local rivals Cwmbran Town, while Higgs makes the switch from Chepstow Town. Hijambazapo, meanwhile, has now been formally announced by the club after making an impressive start to life with the first team.

Al-Doori joins Celtic from Cwmbran Town, having already enjoyed a productive spell with the Crows.

The 33-year-old made eight appearances for Cwmbran Town this season, scoring once and providing an assist before making the move across town.

He had an even more impressive campaign last term, registering seven goals and four assists in 29 league appearances. His contributions helped Cwmbran Town reach the Ardal Leagues play-offs.

His experience and attacking output could prove valuable additions for Cwmbran Celtic as they look to build momentum in the second half of the campaign.

Will Higgs arrives from Chepstow Town after scoring on first start

Higgs is another arrival from within the Ardal South East, joining Cwmbran Celtic from league rivals Chepstow Town.

The midfielder has already made his first-team debut, coming off the bench in the fixture against Newport Corinthians on October 24.

He wasted little time making an impression, either, scoring on his first start against Penlan.

Higgs had made six appearances for Chepstow this season before his departure. He also featured 24 times for the club last campaign, registering three assists.

His early impact suggests he could quickly become an important part of Celtic’s plans.

Urio Hijambazapo officially announced after impressive start

Hijambazapo has also been formally announced by Celtic after making an eye-catching start to his first-team career.

The 25-year-old made his debut in September, scoring twice in a victory over Abercarn United.

He continued that impressive form across his opening three matches, recording three goals and two assists in what proved to be a productive start.

Based in Birmingham, England, Hijambazapo has spent several years developing his career within the English football system.

His previous clubs include Sturridge Football Academy, Bilston Town FC, Sutton United Birmingham, Birmingham United, Lane Head FC, Highgate United and Tividale FC.

The forward has also revealed that Tier 1 professional clubs have already been monitoring his progress, with the possibility of a move further up the football pyramid in the future.

Speaking about his ambitions, Hijambazapo said to The Namibian: “It is a great opportunity for me to continue developing and prove that I can compete at a higher level.”

He also revealed his desire to represent his country one day, adding: “Representing my country is something I would love to achieve one day, but I believe everything happens in God’s timing.”

Where Cwmbran Celtic stand in the Ardal South East

Celtic currently sit ninth in the Ardal South East table, having collected four wins from their opening seven league matches.

They are yet to record a draw in the division, highlighting a campaign that has so far been defined by wins and defeats.

Their latest outing saw them defeat Penlan to progress in the Amateur Trophy, providing another positive result for the club.

Celtic will now turn their attention back to league action, with a meeting against Blaenavon Blues scheduled for November 6.

The arrivals of Al-Doori, Higgs and Hijambazapo provide the club with three additional options as they look to build on their start to the season and make progress up the Ardal South East table.
