Cymru Premier: Record-breaker makes QPR transfer as ex-Cardiff City youngster joins Trefelin

Queens Park Rangers have reportedly completed the signing of Cymru Premier youngster Declan De-Vulgt.
The 16-year-old is understood to be joining the EFL Championship club alongside Eddie Chadwick, with the pair set to link up with QPR’s development team.
West London Sport reports that the Hoops have secured the services of De-Vulgt, who has made headlines in Welsh football after becoming Trefelin’s youngest-ever player.
Declan De-Vulgt – Trefelin’s Cymru Premier historymaker
De-Vulgt made his historic appearance earlier this season when he came off the bench in Trefelin’s opening game against Colwyn Bay. He was also named among the substitutes for the subsequent fixture against Llandudno, although he did not feature.
The teenager has not been included in Trefelin’s squad since then, with his reported move to west London now set to provide the next step in his development.
De-Vulgt is the son of former Swansea City and Port Talbot Town defender Leigh De-Vulgt and has already impressed at youth level.
Last season, he made six appearances for Briton Ferry Llansawel’s development side, while he was also a key contributor for their Under-16s, scoring four goals and providing 11 assists.
His reported move to QPR represents another significant step for a young player who has risen through the Welsh football pyramid at a rapid rate.
Trefelin pick up first Cymru Premier point
A goal in the ninth minute of added time from Louis Caramella-Gerrard earned Trefelin their first Cymru Premier point, cancelling out Euros Griffiths’ opener for Ammanford.
The match was a feisty affair, with both Griffiths and Kane Owen shown red cards.
There was no De-Vulgt on the bench, but new signing Louis Phillips made his debut after joining on loan from The New Saints. The 20-year-old, who was previously on the books of Cardiff City, spent last season on loan at Newport City.
To date, Phillips has recorded five goals and three assists in 22 appearances, while also making eight top-flight appearances.
Youngster Osian Davies was also named among the substitutes. He joined Trefelin during the summer from Briton Ferry Llansawel’s Development Team, following in the footsteps of De-Vulgt.
