Cymru South: Former Newport County, MK Dons, and Forest Green Rovers winger signs for Newport City

Newport City have signed former Newport County winger Keanu Marsh-Brown as they look to strengthen their squad for the Cymru South season.
The experienced wide player, who has also represented the likes of Forest Green Rovers, MK Dons, Oldham Athletic, Barnet and Yeovil Town, joins the second-tier Welsh club after most recently playing for Odi SC in the Maldives top flight.
Marsh-Brown, 33, is also a 15-time Guyana international, making his senior debut for the Golden Jaguars in March 2019.
His arrival at Newport City also reunites him with manager Robbie Willmott, with the pair having been teammates at Newport County during the 2018/19 season.
Marsh-Brown could make his Newport City debut when they return to action against Trethomas Bluebirds at Newport Stadium on September 11.
Newport City have made a mixed start to their Cymru South campaign, winning two and losing three of their opening five matches. They currently sit 12th in the table.

Forest Green Rovers was the club where Marsh-Brown made the most appearances during his career.
He played 103 times for the Gloucestershire club between the 2015/16 and 2017/18 seasons, scoring 23 goals and providing 15 assists.
Marsh-Brown played a key role during Forest Green’s promotion-winning campaign in 2016/17, when they reached the Football League for the first time in the club’s history.
He also enjoyed a productive spell at Barnet, registering 14 goals and 11 assists in 54 appearances.
His career has also taken him to Yeovil Town, Newport County, MK Dons and Oldham Athletic, before his move into the Maldivian top flight with Odi SC.

The move brings Marsh-Brown back together with Willmott, who is now in charge of Newport City.
The pair shared a dressing room at Newport County during the 2018/19 season, giving the City boss first-hand knowledge of the winger’s ability and experience.
Marsh-Brown’s international career has also seen him become an established figure for Guyana, with 15 caps to his name since making his debut in 2019.
His experience at Football League and National League level could prove valuable for a Newport City side looking to climb the Cymru South table.
The next opportunity to see their new signing in competitive action could come on September 11, when Newport City host Trethomas Bluebirds at Newport Stadium.
Newport City add former County midfielder Jac Norris
Newport City have also completed the signing of Jac Norris following his departure from Rodney Parade this summer. The 19-year-old midfielder spent last season on loan with Briton Ferry Llansawel, Llanelli Town and Barry Town United, making 24 appearances in the Welsh top flight.
Norris featured 20 times for Llanelli, scoring twice, before moving to Barry during the winter transfer window, where he made four appearances. He made his senior Newport County debut during the 2023/24 season under Graham Coughlan, making three appearances for the Exiles, all from the substitutes’ bench.
