Welsh National League Premier Division side FC Nomads have confirmed the signings of Luca Trassati, Gary McConnell and Jamie Wynne.
Trassati joins Nomads for his second spell at the club, having played for them in the 15/16 season. His signing comes after injuries put a hold on his game, but manager Tom Taylor has backed him to contribute to Nomads’ attacking line.
Joining from Mold, Gary McConnell is also an ex-FC Nomads man, with his Huws Gray Alliance experience a vital asset as the club continues to try and close the gap between themselves and titles front runners Brickfield Rangers and Queens Park.
Jamie Wynne has signed from the Welsh National League Division One, where he played for Rhostyllen.
Joining to boost FC Nomads’ defence as a centre back, he came through the ranks at gap Connah’s Quay to become a regular first teamer in the 2012/13 season. He joins his brother Ben at the club, who is FC Nomads’ goalkeeping coach.
Speaking to Y Clwb Pel Droed, Tom Taylor now believes his side is getting close to his aspired level, and hopes his new signings will help the side bounce back from a 2-0 loss to Corwen last weekend.
“The squad is slowly getting to where we want it to be. After Saturday it opened up our eyes to what we need to work on, and who we need to bring in to make us more competitive.”
FC Nomads are next in action away to Brymbo FC for a 2:00pm kick off on Saturday 4 February.
