Carmarthen Town recruit Division One duo Bull and Scotcher

Carmarthen Town have signed Welsh League duo Elliot Scotcher and Josh Bull from Cwmbran Celtic and Haverfordwest County.

After the conclusion of the Welsh Premier League season, Neil Smothers has added two new faces to the Old Gold squad.

Bull and Scotcher are two of three new signings. Llanelli Town’s Chris Jones also joined the Welsh League duo at Richmond Park.

Bull previously spent a pre-season with Welsh Premier League side Aberystwyth Town, before returning to Cwmbran Celtic later in the summer. The 25-year-old has had three spells with the Gwent club, having had a brief period with Merthyr Town.

Bull has scored over 100 goals for Cwmbran Celtic and finished the 18/19 season as the clubs second highest goalscorer, behind Chris Ham.

Midfielder Scotcher spent last season with Haverfordwest County as they missed out on promotion to the Welsh Premier League.

The former Lido midfielder made 23 appearances for the Bluebirds last season, scoring a total of three times.

Dave Vincent, Greg Walters and Jay Woodford all committed to the club earlier this month.

Ceri Morgan, Declan Carroll, Jordan Knott, Jordan Vickers, Lee Idzi, Lee Surman, Lewis Harling, Liam Thomas and Luke Bowen all put pen to paper to new deals before the conclusion of the Welsh Premier League season.

The Old Gold finished a comfortable 17 points above the drop zone, compared to an 11th placed finish last season.
