A keen Welsh football and Football Manager fan has created a Virtual League of Wales as a means of keeping fans entertained during lockdown.
It’s the Cymru Premier meets the NFL and MLS as one the Football Manager experience gets taken to another level.
Set in the virtual reality world of Sports Interactive’s Football Manager 2020, Ben has created 22 franchises that are based all across Wales.
All franchises have bespoke kit designs and unique club branding with some weird and wacky names which represents counties in Wales.
Already adding to what is an exciting concept is the squads that have been assembled by some of the worlds best managers.
Explaining the concept of a Virtual League on FM, creator Ben said: “This was the idea really of trying to do it now was to give some form of football for people to support.
“Making them teams that didn’t exist would give it a more neutral feel too as everyone already supports a real team.
“Having the 22 administrative counties of Wales seemed a logical way of doing the teams.”
So you’ve understood the tournament and now you’ve got to choose a team out of the 22 as you find a substitute to the lack of football on offer right now.
Tell us who you’ll be supporting throughout the competition and engage with us through our social media feeds, the Twitter page league itself and on our live blog.
