Since playing their first competitive match against Scotland on 25 March 1876, Wales have awarded caps to 724 players.
In the intervening 144 years, 223 different players have scored for their country and 94 have had the honour of wearing the captain’s armband.
The nation of approximately three million has produced a host of fine footballers, who have gone on to become legendary figures not only in Wales, but around the world too.
While it may be easy to remember some of their greatest goals or key contributions, trying to recollect when they represented their country for the first time can be more challenging.
