Leeds United tracking Wales defender Ben Cabango – reports

Leeds United have shown an interest in signing Swansea City defender Ben Cabango.

Cabango has a contract with the Swans until June 2023 after signing a deal in March.

But now the central defender, who looks set to win his first Wales cap, has been linked with a move away from South Wales.

The Yorkshire Evening Post say the Whites are interested in bringing the 20-year-old to Elland Road, ahead of their first season in the Premier League since 2003.

Last season, Cabango made 23 appearances for the Swans and his performances have been noted by national team boss Ryan Giggs.

Before featuring for Swansea’s first-team, Cabango had a six-month loan spell at Park Hall with The New Saints.

In just his second senior match, the Cardiff-born defender scored in the UEFA Champions League.

Leeds are in the market for a central defender after missing out on Ben White who signed a new contract with Brighton & Hove Albion.
