Flint Town United sign quartet after New Saints drubbing

Cymru Premier outfit Flint Town United have made four new signings this week.

Alex Jones and Kai Edwards joining from 19/20 champions Prestatyn Town, meanwhile Joe Palmer and Sam Hart have moved from Airbus UK and Colwyn Bay respectively.

All four players have joined from the Cymru North with the 2020/21 start date still yet to be announced.

Commenting on his signings, Niall McGuinness said: “They are great additions,” said McGuinness.

“They are great characters and real winners, who will add a lot to the team and club.

As well as four incomings, the Silkmen have seen two players depart the club.

Kyle Smyth has departed the club after five seasons in the search of ‘regular first-team football’. 

Meanwhile Brandon Burrows has also moved on as he makes a return to professional football.

“I would like to say thank you to Flint Town United for the past two seasons,” tweeted the 20-year-old midfielder. 

“I’ve met some great lads over the past two years.

“I’ve decided to leave the club to start enjoying my football again…nothing is concrete yet moving forward for me but all the best for the future.”

The Silkmen were due to play Bala Town on Tuesday but their fixture at the Essity Stadium was called off.

They will now play the Lakesiders on Tuesday, 20 October.
