Johnny Hunt and Luke Holden have opted not to join Prestatyn Town for the upcoming JD Cymru North campaign.
The duo had been announced as signings by the Seasiders last month, however the duo have decided against moving to Bastion Gardens.
Former Wrexham defender Hunt, is now currently on trial at an unnamed full-time club, with the hope of being signed.
The Rhyl Journal reports that the Seasiders aren’t looking to replace Ryan Turner, despite the departure of Director of Football, John Lawless.
Turner will be afforded the opportunity to oversee the 15-game season, should the Welsh Government reinstate elite status for the top two tiers of football in Wales.
There will also be an emphasis of securing local players before the January window closes.
Despite Lawless’ exit, a host of Merseyside-based players have committed their future to the club.
Former Bayern Munich starlet Dale Jennings will remain with Prestatyn, as well as Josh Brizell, Joseph Halligan, Adam Buxton and Markus Haynes.
