Cambrian & Clydach Vale have made a double swoop for Merthyr Town duo Cameron Keetch and Connor Davies.
The pair had recently been let go by the Martyrs and have now joined opted to swap the Southern League Premier for the Cymru South.
Keetch makes a return to the M&P 3G two years after he departed for a chance to play in the Cymru Premier with Haverfordwest County.
He was an academy product of the Rhondda side and reached the Nathaniel MG Cup final with them back in 2019.
Keetch made 27 appearances, scoring two goals for Haverfordwest last season, helping them to an eight-placed finish.
Davies meanwhile made 24 appearances for Penybont, playing a part in their top-six placing and also helped them to a play-off semi-final appearance.
Both had been playing in the Cymru Premier for Haverfordwest County and Penybont respectively and that is where the Sky Blues long-term aim is.
They are one of eight teams who have applied for a Tier One Licence, which would allow them to play in the Welsh top flight.
Scott Young’s side are currently fifth in the table, nine points behind league leaders Pontypridd Town.
Their next scheduled fixture isn’t until February 4 when they travel to the Marston Stadium to face Afan Lido.
Earlier in the transfer window Cambrian signed Mishary McCarthy, who had been part of their academy, before leaving to play senior level football for Ton Pentre. 16-year-old Tye Duggan has also returned, having gone and played for Cwmbran Celtic.
