Nathaniel Cars and MG announced as new League Cup sponsors
Nathaniel Cars Sales and MG have been announced as the new sponsors of the League Cup from the beginning of the 2016/17 season.
The two have come together to sponsor the now called Nathaniel MG Cup, replacing the formerly named theWord Cup.
Nathaniel Cars Sales have a reputation in the Welsh game as they already sponsor the Welsh Leagues (South Wales divisions) and the Nathaniel Cars Sales Football League Cup (South Wales League Cup).
The League secretary Gwyn Derfel said
“There’s no doubt that this competition is growing in stature and I believe that the introduction of the Wildcard initiative has played a major part in this growth. Denbigh Town made it all the way to the final last season capturing the imagination of the club, town and competition in the process. Let’s hope that there’s another fairy tale in the pipeline this season.”
The Nathaniel MG Cup is a competition for all Welsh Premier League teams and selected invited clubs. The first round proper starts on Tuesday 6th August.
