Williams snapped up by Llangefni
Llangefni Town have completed the signing of Caernarfon Town midfielder Cory Williams, as they look to continue their push for promotion in the second half of the season.
Williams is a well travelled player and brings a wealth of experience to Llangefni having already played for Chester, Colwyn Bay and Rhyl before joining Caernarfon in the summer.
Williams expressed his delight at joining Chris Robert’s side and hopes they can help him to get back to enjoying his football.
“It’s a great club, as I saw in November when we played against them in the Welsh Cup, with some very good players and good coaching staff. I personally think its a good move for me to get back enjoying my football again and I can’t wait to get started with the club, get stuck in and get some goals to help the club get promotion!”
His new manager Roberts was also delighted with the signing. Roberts was highly impressed by Williams in their Welsh Cup clash and believes he brings a spark to the side on the pitch which he will be hoping will be invaluable to the side,
“Cory is a great signing for us, he played against us a few weeks back in the Welsh Cup for Caernarfon and was man of the match in that game and that day I said how I thought he was a great player; he is someone who can make something happen by either beating a man or scoring a goal. He is a real attacking talent that I rate very highly, I can’t wait to have him join the squad this week and he is equally keen to get going with the lads. He will fit in perfectly with our style of play and with the lads we have.”
The club currently sit in 6th place with 23 points from 12 games in the Welsh Alliance Division One.
